Parkland School Shooting Incident
The incident happened in the year 2018. On Monday, 18th July 2022, Prosecutor Michael Satz in a Broward County courtroom stated that his attack was calculative, cold, deadly, and even manipulative. 3 days prior to the shooting, the suspect Nikolas Cruz watched into the camera of his mobile phone and stated that “Hello, I am Nik. I am going to be the next shooter of the school of the year 2018”, as stated by Satz. For the trial of the suspect, around 12 members of the jury panel passed the conviction of the death penalty of Cruz. However, his defense lawyers have appealed for the conviction of a lifetime jail sans the chances of parole. Nikolas Cruz Death Penalty Trial
For his heinous crime, the suspect used a semi-automatic gun to assassinate 17 individuals and wounded seventeen more. The entire incident happened at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. During the court trial, the suspect was seen sitting silently at the time of the proceedings, wearing a black face mask, spectacles, a collared shirt, and over it he wore a sweater.
