During his trial in the courtroom Alexander said that he was not rash driving at all, he was following every traffic rule and was driving a car with the proper precaution to avoid any sudden circumstances. Although the reality is more terrifying than this statement made him, he actually lost control of his vehicle – a Lamborghini Huracan at Glengowrie when the incident happened and cost the life of a teenager in the month of June in 2019. He was not even admitting the fact about him actually killing the teenager with his car due to reckless driving, as the car hit her and along with killing the 15 years old, he even injured her friend walking with her on the footpath by the side of a Chinese restaurant at the Morphett Road area.

This hit-and-run case was to be handled by a district court judge, Paul Muscat, without any jury. He himself approved the case as Alexander not being guilty of any killing or serious offenses and even raised questions about him actually accelerating the car or not. He said that the acceleration of the car is not yet proven deadly by the prosecution and till it does he’ll not be guilty of the murder allegations. The lawyer of Campbell added in the case that his client didn’t cross the speed limit and was driving under 60kmph although he had lost his control but not to the extent that could kill someone for real. And deadly acceleration is not yet proven and till then it’s unfair to call him guilty. Although, Campbell had not presented any evidence prove nor any witness to prove his innocence. While his lawyer is continuously stating that he is not responsible for any death case or any rash driving. Even the sports car drivers have given their statement that the car was in sports mode when it lost its control and actually took the life of the teenager. Her family is still trying their best to reopen the case and seek justice for their daughter. We pray for the peace of his soul of Sophia and that she may get justice soon.
