He came into the limelight during the 2012 summer season Olympics. Chad is a professional who obtained gold in the Olympics and he also took part in the commonwealth games as well. Apart from that Chad owns the African Commonwealth and South African and South African info as well. He got an extended course and got through the 200 m butterfly occasions. He also got through the 100,m transient course as well. Chad holds the Africana and South African info. He held the butterfly world info for both 100 and 200 meters races. When asked about the cause behind his absence at the Tokyo Olympics and the incident that occurred in the early months of 2021, Chad did not want to discuss it with the media or with anyone. But it was revealed to him that he is dealing with his parent’s health issues and that was the reason why he did not make it to the games. Although he did not want to reveal the reason, the reason was for sure hidden as his absence from the Tokyo games led him to answer the question. It was revealed that Chad went through some problems and that was the reason why did not attend the Tokyo games. The first few months of 2021 were depressing for him as both of his parents were diagnosed with cancer earlier.

Before 2021, Chad’s parents were diagnosed with cancer and at the beginning of 2021 he had to go through a diagnosis for his parents, they were having health and this was the reason why he didn’t attend the games. While interviewing about the incident he went through, Chad said that he wouldn’t reveal why he didn’t make it up, but he said that he has been going through tough times, even tougher than his parents had cancer. But after 18 months of getting through private and athletic treatments and after encouragement from other players he got the motivation and he finally is ready to swim again. Chad’s parents were diagnosed with cancer and they went through different sessions as well. Chad’s mother was from South Africa and his father moved to South Africa completely when Chad was 9 years old.
