She is one of two African Americans in the Mana tribe. And now, she’s sitting in the jury box after having her torch snuffed by John Rocker. Chanelle Howell, a 37–year-old executive recruiter and former professional poker player from Winter Park, FL, is one of the 18 new castaways competing on Survivor: David vs. Goliath. Chanelle’s main claim to fame is being an athletic powerhouse.

She was captain of her high school and college volleyball teams, made an appearance on ESPN’s SportsCenter Top 10 for swimming the length of Lake Michigan… Chanelle Howell has been a part of Survivor for over fifteen years. Starting out as a contestant in Survivor Africa, Chanelle was quickly voted out of her tribe and soon became a member of the jury. Since then, she has been involved with the show as a player, host, crew member, and now a contestant on the upcoming season 42 of Survivor. Chanelle’s past experiences have left her well prepared in helping her get to the final 6 on her upcoming season of Survivor.
