As per the reports, he was sleeping in the middle part of the house when a part of the roof fell on him at around 1:45 AM. The victim has instantly died on the spot. When the family heard the voice scream they instantly comes to the middle of the house and found him dead. After that, the family members came out of the house and called the neighbors and informed them about the incident after that neighbors called the police and reported the incident. Soon after the incident was reported, the police of Ramanathapuram reached the crime scene and immediately sent the body for the post-more at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.

As per the media reports, the deceased Vinoth Kannan was involved in the manufacturing of PVC doors for offices and houses.
