Kenyan ICC Suspect Paul Gicheru Found Dead
Paul Gicheru as per his family was found dead in his house in Nairobi and the same thing was confirmed by the police as well. Reports later came out on Tuesday that he had foam in his mouth and he was found dead aged 54. Later police also confirmed that his son Allan has also been hospitalized. Earlier on Monday, it was only revealed that Paul was found dead but later his son’s hospitalization news was brought up. As per another report, his body has been sent to the Lee funeral home and the postmortem reports are awaited but as of now, no report has been released other than his death his. His family members have revealed that Paul had food before he went to sleep and never woke up again.
What Happened With Paul Gicheru?
Paul was in charge of the case which was filed against now President William Ruto. As per the reports, Paul was responsible for bribing and misleading the witnesses. While the case began in 2020 and Paul was held in court in June. Later the case went on for two years until 2022 when in June the same case was closed after a running period of one year and a few months. While Paul was the one who admitted to his crimes and ICC was the one who filed the case against him. Reports claim that along with Paul his co-accused Sang was also involved in the case and they were charged with instigating ethnic violence in the election of 2007.
Paul Gicheru’s Death A Suicide Or Murder?
May Kenyans were devastated to hear the sudden and untimely passing of Paul while some of them sent condolences online. Here are some of them, including, Stephen Mutoro saying that he lost a friend after the passing of Paul Gicheru. HE added that he was found dead in his home. Stephen also added that Paul had a condition and he wishes that he passed away due to natural causes. Nahashon Kirinaki sent condolences and said that the family needs time to mourn. While Collins Wanderi sent his condolences to Paul’s family and said that Paul was his friend and a professional colleague as well. He sent his prayers to the soul.
